During a Presentation of the Instrument at a Hammer Forge, a large Crankshaft was under inspection. Karl Deutsch detected an inside Flaw. The Production-Manager did not believe the Test Result but he agreed to cut open the Shaft under the following Condition “If no Flaw will be found inside the Crankshaft you’ll pay for the Damage!” A Crane was used to move the Shaft, but it slipped from the Crane falling to the Ground breaking exactly at the marked Position and showing a large Flaw inside.

Since that day, a lot has been achieved, today KARL DEUTSCH is a brand with an important history in the NDT field.
